The chelated iron desulfurization technology is a wet oxidation method using chelated iron as a catalyst to remove hydrogen sulfide. Its characteristic is to directly convert H2S into element S, and the treated H2S content meets environmental requirements. It is a new type of desulfurization technology with simple process, high working sulfur capacity, and environmentally friendly and non-toxic properties. It overcomes the disadvantages of traditional desulfurization processes such as low sulfur capacity, complex process, high by-product salt generation rate, and serious environmental pollution. The tail gas of the sulfur recovery unit can achieve a sulfur recovery rate of 99.9%.
The chelated iron desulfurization technology is a relatively mature complete set of hydrogen sulfide removal technology. Compared with other chelated iron desulfurization technologies, it has the advantages of high sulfur capacity, sled installation, low desulfurization cost, high operational stability, low investment, and high removal rate of COS and thiol organic sulfur.

2. Characteristics of chelated iron desulfurization technology
(1) Complex iron catalyst, with a simple process, can quickly oxidize hydrogen sulfide directly to elemental sulfur using a one-step treatment process; For various concentrations of H2S, the desulfurized H2S content meets environmental requirements and has high efficiency in removing H2S.
(2) The system has strong resistance to fluctuations. For traditional desulfurization devices, when the hydrogen sulfide content in the feed gas fluctuates greatly, it can cause the hydrogen sulfide content in the purified gas exported to fluctuate greatly, even exceeding the standard. The high sulfur capacity of chelated iron allows its desulfurization device to automatically handle the above fluctuations without the need for manual changes in operation and without affecting the desulfurization rate.
(3) Complex iron catalysts have high selectivity and no by-product discharge. In chelated iron desulfurization, chelated iron ions oxidize hydrogen sulfide into sulfur, resulting in fewer side reactions during the desulfurization process and a longer service life of the reagents.
(4) The desulfurization working fluid has a high sulfur capacity. The use of chelating iron desulfurizer can significantly reduce the circulating liquid volume, decrease equipment size, and reduce investment and operating costs.
(5) The device has a small size and can be mounted on a sled. Due to its high working sulfur capacity and small equipment, it can be installed on a sled, which is very suitable for the sled installation requirements of small projects.
